Flax Basket.

 

We have been learning how to make a Flax Basket. It was hard at the start but then it got really easy. First we had to rip the spine out of the flax then rip the flax apart. We had to get twelve strips of flax to make it. You had to put down seven pieces of flax then go up and down with five pieces of flax. Then with the five two sides we folded them and at the end of folding both sides you do one braid on each side then tie it up with a skinny piece of flax on both sides. The put rap them round and round to make a handle. Then with the rest of it tie it and cut the long bits of flax.

Emily Carr

This is my first Emily Carr Art that we did with Mrs Swinburn. Emily Carr was known for Writing and painting. She was a Canadian Artist. She was born 13 December 1871 and she Died 2 March 1945. 

The first painting we had to: Pick 2 or 3 colors for the background. Then once we picked our colors we sponged them onto a piece of paper. Then we got another piece of paper to sketch a tree. When we had done that we painted it with black paint onto the paper that had been sponged and we also added some grass.

We have learn't how to know what is fake news or real news. We got this of a website and we had to reda a book about kids getting sucked ( Sucked is the site and the story's name ) people post fake news sometimes. The thing I liked most about this task was making the poster. you would have to check for an author. have you ever seen fake news before?.
